EUROPEAN FIXED INCOME UPDATE: debt futures regain upward thrust

Analysis details (10:00)

Bunds remain somewhat reluctant to tackle the nearest round number in earnest, but Gilts picked up the baton after overcoming a minor setback after returning to the fray without qualm about the forthcoming BoE rate verdict, MPC minutes and MPR, plus press conference. The 10 year German benchmark is hovering towards the top of a 130.06-129.48 range, while its UK equivalent has extended gains to 94.35 from 93.44 and the T-note is holding a firm bid between 107-13+/02+ bounds with the curve continuing to flatten. All this on the crest of a wave that seems to be forming around dovish global Central Bank expectations.
