EUROPEAN FIXED INCOME UPDATE: bond bounce breaches more barriers
Analysis details (10:49)
The market mood was already pretty gloomy on multiple factors before the latest blast from the Kremlin and reports of a North Korean ballistic missile launch that coincided with further upside in debt futures, as Bunds top 155.00, Gilts touch 120.69 and the 10 year T-note approaches 120-00 all over again. However, the technical picture is also becoming more bullish, or less bearish within the overall trend, with the German benchmark breaching a Fib retracement level at 154.78 along the way. Ahead, US jobless claims, ppi and the last leg of the Quarterly Refunding all vie for attention alongside breaking news and headlines.
