UniCredit (UCG IM), Commerzbank (CBK GY) - UniCredit CEO Andrea Orcel said the bank may sell its 26% stake in Germany’s Commerzbank to a non-EU bank if shareholders approve a profitable offer, according to Reuters. Commerzbank and the German state oppose a tie-up. Orcel emphasised shareholder obligations would prevail despite his preference to strengthen a European banking presence.
