China Iron Ore - The China Iron and Steel Association urged domestic ore producers to accelerate key projects to curb reliance on imports from miners such as BHP Group (BHP), Bloomberg reports. Vice President Xia Nong said the association will bolster stable mine operations and advance supply-side structural reform after a late-Monday statement following last month’s meeting. (Bloomberg)

Semiconductor Supply Chains - The US plans agreements with eight allied nations to strengthen supply chains for computer chips and critical minerals needed for AI, aiming to reduce dependence on China, Bloomberg reports. The initiative will start with a White House meeting on 12th December with Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Netherlands, the UK, Israel, the UAE and Australia. (Bloomberg)

TotalEnergies (TTE FP) - TotalEnergies, TES, Osaka Gas, Toho Gas and Itochu Partner up to develop the Live Oak project for E-NG production in Nebraska. The project is also subject to a final decision in 2027. Following the agreement, both TTE and TES will maintain a 33.5% stake in the project. Commercial operations are scheduled to begin in 2030.
