[ANALYSIS]: NVIDIA (NVDA) at CES 2025: Unveiled AI-enabled tech to train robot and self-driving cars, gaming chips, and its first desktop computer

- At CES 2025, the tech behemoth unveiled AI-enabled technology to train robot and self-driving cars, gaming chips, and its first desktop computer. The AI darling added that Toyota Motor (TM) will use its Orin chips and automotive operating system for advance driver assistance. CEO Huang sees automotive revenue at USD 5bln in its next FY, which starts late this month, up from roughly USD 4bln this year.
- In addition, Huang showed “physical AI” tools that he said would help robots learn using simulated environments that closely mimic the real world, a market that could be worth USD 38bln in the next couple of decades.
- Unveiled its GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs (RTX 5070-5090, priced USD 549-1,999) featuring Blackwell architecture and GDDR7 memory. It also introduced Project Digits, a USD 3,000 AI supercomputer with the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. Further, NVDA said Blackwell supercomputers are in full production.
- For other related companies, CEO said Micron (MU) was providing memory for GeForce RTX 50 Blackwell family of gaming chips, and Uber (UBER) teams up with Nvidia to accelerate autonomous mobility.
- In wake of the event Nvidia is firmer by approx. 2% in pre-market with Micron and Uber buoyed by c. 4.5% and 2.5%, respectively, in wake of the aforementioned news. Regarding broader indices, NQ is more-or-less flat with the semi-conductor ETF SOXX +0.5%. As a reminder, Nvidia has a 7.79% holding.
