EUROPEAN FIXED INCOME UPDATE: decent, but uneven bounce in bonds
Analysis details (10:35)
Debt futures regained composure after overcoming several bouts of selling pressure, albeit not uniformly and without an obvious catalyst. Moreover, turnover remained relatively muted on a sparse agenda, even for a Monday, as Bunds bounced from 131.22 to 131.59 to trade 12 ticks above par, Gilts emulated the feat between 93.35-93.75 parameters before waning and the T-note tagged along within a 109-30+/110-08+ range having closed at 110-06 on Friday. Near term technical levels and degrees of retracement were probably the main drivers ahead of more fundamental impulses due later in the week.
