EUROPEAN FIXED INCOME UPDATE: debt set for strong finish to H1

Analysis details (11:03)

It may be far too soon or rash to pass judgement given the wild swings seen in bonds of late (and for a while in truth), but the omens are looking good as Bunds, Gilts and the 10 year T-note all hover below relatively lofty peaks alongside the Eurozone periphery. The core debt futures reached 148.23, 113.42 and 117-30 respectively amidst pretty pronounced curve steepening and risk-off positioning that could intensify as the month, quarter and first half of 2022 bows out, or abate and leave the focus on upcoming US PCE data that has market-moving potential and is watched closely by the Fed as a measure of inflation.
