EUROPEAN FIXED INCOME UPDATE: debt futures slip to fresh session lows
Analysis details (10:37)
Turnover remains lacklustre given long holiday weekends in the UK and Japan, but bonds have extended to the downside anyway after waning from best levels earlier or overnight, with Bunds just off a deeper 142.43 Eurex trough (30 ticks adrift vs 53 ticks up on the day at one stage) and the 10 year T-note nearer the base of its 114-12+/114-25+ range. Monday’s low-key agenda continues with Canadian PPI and the US NAHB housing index after Eurozone construction output, though the schedule for the week overall is very busy and heavily skewed towards Central Bank policy meetings until Friday when preliminary PMIs are likely to grab headlines before a speech by Fed chair Powell.
