EUROPEAN FIXED INCOME UPDATE: bonds braced between Wednesday’s wide extremes

Debt futures remain under par having unwound a chunk of their safe haven premium, though well within midweek ranges and still keeping a close eye on financials in context of the recovery or respite emanating from emergency measures taken in the US and provisioned in Switzerland to prevent a full-blown banking crisis. Bunds are hovering around 136.00 having peaked at 137.19 and troughed at 135.73 pre-ECB as the next big, scheduled event risk, while Gilts are holding near 104.50 and the middle of a 104.99-16 band and the T-note is fractionally above 115-00 between 115-19+/114-26 stalls ahead of another batch of US data.
