EUROPEAN FIXED INCOME UPDATE: bonds back off from fresh rebound peaks

Debt futures remain solid and close to best levels after a marked extension of the latest flight-to-quality that propelled Bunds to 139.54, Gilts to 107.27 and the T-note to 117-01+ at one stage. However, the mood remains extremely negative and largely surrounding banks again ahead of the weekend, month end and Q1 that could keep bonds elevated on balance sheet requirements as well as risk aversion. Ahead of all that, Fed’s Bullard is die to speak and US PMIs provide early pointers for the now even more data dependent FOMC.
